Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, their team unites expertise in semiconductor technology, quantum computing, material properties, national & international security and advanced technologies.

Are you a meticulous and forward-thinking professional with expertise in ARM architecture and FPGA technologies? Join the team as a System Architect, and play a crucial role in shaping their system architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of system architectures leveraging ARM-based processors, optimising performance and scalability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate ARM cores within FPGA-based systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
Define and document system specifications, emphasising ARM integration and FPGA utilisation for optimal system performance.
Implement and optimize system architectures, ensuring compatability and efficiency.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging ARM advancements into system design strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve architectural issues related to integration, ensuring system stability.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on ARM architecture within system designs.

Experience & Qualifications

Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in system architecture design, with a focus on ARM-based processor design and FPGA utilisation.
Strong knowledge of ARM architecture, FPGA implementation and associated languages like Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++/Rust and familiarity with scripting languages.
Hands-on experience with VHDL/Verlog coding, FPGA synthesis and optimization methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Team player mindset, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hardware and software co-design for FPGA-based systems.
Knowledge of FPGA synthesis tools and design methodologies.

Our client is currently seeking a talented Network Software Engineer to spearhead the development of their proprietary VPN solutions through advanced software-defined networking technologies. This role is perfect for an embedded software engineer with specialized experience in network systems, eager to tackle challenging projects in a highly innovative environment. Your expertise in network protocols, Linux networking, and modern programming languages will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's network infrastructure and enhancing their capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust VPN software and other network-related solutions using state-of-the-art software-defined networking technologies.
Implement and manage network solutions focusing on switching networks and TCP/IP to ensure efficient and secure data transmission.
Maintain and upgrade existing network systems to improve performance and integrate new functionalities.
Obtain and utilize Cisco CCNA and CCNP Enterprise certifications to enhance network designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality software that meets the strategic goals of the company.
Apply hands-on expertise in programming with C++, Python, and Rust to develop and optimize network functionalities.
Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and external courses, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Network Software Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer with significant networking experience.
Strong background in designing and implementing network software, particularly in software-defined environments.
Expertise in Linux networking, switching networks, and TCP/IP protocols.
Required certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and preferably Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise.
Desirable: PCI Professional (PCIP) Qualification.
Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Rust.
Medior to senior level experience with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
